Emma May’s Sand Box
Emma May loved playing in her sandbox until one day she went outside to play. Emma cried when she found her sandbox empty. The storm had washed all the sand away, well, almost all. As she turned to go back inside her home she saw the small particles of sand--left in the sandbox--sparkle at her, as if it were winking. Emma’s father told her not to worry; he would get her more sand down at the creek. Emma decides to play anyway with the small amount left She begins gathering up the grains of sand and putting them in her special playing bucket. The Yellow, Yellow Airplane
Zack and his father had built the perfect airplane or at least thought they did. The yellow plane was beautiful, but there was a problem, a big problem. The little airplane tells them it’s afraid of heights. Well, an airplane afraid of heights is no good to anyone, so Zack’s father decides to take the Yellow airplane apart and build another, but this time he will paint it RED…the color of bravery, not Yellow the color of fear. This exciting story is fun for all ages--be it read or read- aloud.
